What we get is to wind up right back where we started. High unemployment, stagnant economic growth, a corrupt department of justice, a senate that as far as I can tell serves absolutely no purpose, and a President that believes higher taxes and more useless spending is the way out of this mess we have found ourselves in.
We will continue to see public unions empowered, a dependence on foreign oil that, i do admit, the President has tried to alleviate by investing tax dollars into failed "green energy" options time and time again, but has yet to really do anything to tap into the multitude of resources we have that will actually work, and we will have to continue to watch as Jay Carney tries his best to make all of this seem reasonable.
And It's not just the lefty media machine we have to blame, what about the few Republican senate candidates like Richard Mourdock and Tom James that played right into the left's hands by making obnoxious comments about pregnancies by rape being " Gifts from God". Really? REALLY? Even if that is your opinion you don't come out and say some crazy nonsense like that right before an election! Come on.... They are BOTH a couple of Richards if you ask me.
BUT, I have managed to find some silver lining on this stinky dark cloud we are all being forced to breath The first is that we managed to keep a strong hold on congress. As you know, all the insane spending legislation was passed while Obama and the Dems had control of both houses. This congress has done a great job fighting back against all the Presidents crazy spending and if anything, they have gotten stronger.
The second is that Paul Ryan, who I believe is one of the best conservatives representing the party today, has been given some face-time and noteriety. He will be a leader and a major player in the party for years to come. Along with Ryan, there are many other great young conservatives climbing the ranks. Marco Rubio and the new Texas senator Ted Cruz come to mind, and of course there is always the great Chris Christy!
So while things may look bleak right now, I think we all need to do our best to keep a positive outlook. I know for those of you in the energy industry things are rough and about to get rougher, but you will pull through. Our country is about to see some tough times but we cant lose our conservative ideals, instead we need to embrace them, and embrace them loudly!
This sucks, but we will get through it.
